グーデン・カロルス・トリプルはもともと金羊毛騎士団のために造られたビールです。この騎士団はブルージュ市に設立され、最終的にヨーロッパで最も名誉のある騎士団の一つになりました。 このビールは、醸造技術の進歩にもかかわらず、姉妹品のグーデン・カロルス・クラシックと同じように古い伝統に従い醸造されています。成熟した大麦や洗練されたホップのような厳選された原材料は、可能な限り純粋な味を守るために使用されています。

Gouden Carolus Tripel is a beer originally brewed for the Order of the Golden Fleece. This order was founded in the city of Bruges and eventually became one of the most prestigious orders of chivalry in Europe.Despite advances in brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to age-old traditions, just like its sister product, Gouden Carolus Classic. Carefully selected ingredients—such as mature barley and refined hops—are used to preserve the purest possible flavor.

This beer is crafted using only pale malt, Belgian hops, and 100% natural ingredients. Its brilliant golden appearance hints at a fine, lively carbonation. The aroma is dominated by spicy notes reminiscent of star anise, mint, and coriander. A combination of rustic qualities and yeasty character extends the spiciness to the palate, leading to a remarkably balanced finish that pairs a light bitterness with caramel sweetness and a warming mouthfeel. It is a complex beer that manages to feel incredibly refreshing despite its full-bodied nature.

Gouden Carolus Tripel has been recognized at various beer competitions around the world. It won a gold medal at the World Beer Cup in 2002. It subsequently achieved a “Golden Hat-trick” by winning gold medals at the European Beer Star in 2010 and the World Beer Awards in 2012.
