NZでのホップ収穫をきっかけに巡り会ったオーストラリア・シドニーの『Future Brewing』と手を組み、昨年リリースするや否や、Mr.Dのお墨付きとなった衝撃作？！厳選ホップをフュージョンさせた「草。」な一杯が、1stバッチのレシピ通りに復活を果たす。
Future Brewingチームが定番的に仕込んでいるWest Coast IPAをベースに、お互いのアイデアを組み合わせ、まずドライホップのメインにはMosaicを。さらに偶然にも両社でセレクトしていた同一ロットの@freestylehops Nelson Sauvin 26KLや、WCBとの意見の一致で選ばれたNectaronも採用。
湿り気のあるダンクでウッディなニュアンス。グレープフルーツを思わせる爽やかな柑橘の特徴とメロンのアロマに、ほのかに漂うブドウの印象。軽やかなボディとドライな味わいには、IPAらしい心地良い苦みの余韻。それぞれの個性を響かせ、力を引き出し完成させた一杯に。
Had the pleasure of hanging out with the Hop Dudes at Future Brewing this past March, and once again to hang out on their visit to Japan in August. And when that happens… I think you get the drift😉
Several IPA recipe idea swaps and hop choosing-shenanigans later, Westie Bois was born. Leaning as West Coast CA into this one as possible, our Hop Dudes lightened the body even further and added buckets of Freestyle Nectaron and Nelson, with a pinch of Hollingbery Mosaic and Citra Incognito to the mix. We get dank, grassy, with loads of bright grapefruit. Here’s to making new friends and adding more brewing superpowers😎🍺
